It was another Sunday as usual. I woke up around 11 and did nothing all day. I watched "Training Day" for the first time, but was somewhat confused, mainly because I wasn't fully paying attention. I'm thinking of doing a "Know Your Candidates" post on a somewhat weekly basis. Every post would be about a single topic and the candidates positions on them. It seems a tad late for the Republican race, but I guess McCain can always use the face time. Let me know what you think of the idea.
I've been reading one of my favorite comics, "Lucifer", for the third time through. Its strange how many things you can forget about over time. Maybe it's just me though. Hope it's not an early onset of Alzheimer's, it has been known to happen. Thats all for now.

Oh Well.
Yes, I realize Duke lost last night. They could of won if they wanted to, though. They just weren't trying, I know because Coach K called me and told me. We would've won if it wasn't for you meddling kids and your "tarheel". At least Duke's womens team won.

Duke vs. UNC: Pregame Match Up
Tonight it all goes down. Duke vs. UNC. But it's much more then that. Anyone who knows anything realizes that this is the biggest rivalry in college sports. UNC (or We Think We're Cool, But We Aren't, And The Only Thing We've Contributed To Society Is Michael Jordan University, or WTWCBWAATOTWCTSIMJU for short) leads the all-time series 127-98. While Duke is losing this series, they are the superior team. They've already beat their arch-enemy once this year, and hope that, in their second and final scheduled match up of the season, they will be triumphant for a second time. Along with being superior at playing basketball, Duke has many other qualities that make them better.
1. Mascots: UNC's mascot is a tarheel. WTF! What the hell is a tarheel? UNC seems to think it's a goat of some sort. If you ask me it's some guy who can't read the "wet blacktop" sign and walks on it anyway. Duke, on the other hand, has the Devil. First of, this is an extremely badass, intimidating figure to have on your side, especially since the only thing more powerful then the Devil is God, not some kind of goat. Not only that, but Duke's colors are black and blue, dark blue, which are manly, unlike UNC's baby blue color. ADVANTAGE: Duke
2. Coaches: UNC has Roy Williams. Big deal. He only has 552 career wins. How pathetic is that. Also who has the name Roy Williams. It sounds like the name of a country singer who, after many failed attempts at a career comeback, opens a restaurant that is put into rest stops nation wide. Duke has the honor of having Coach Mike Krzyzewski. Usually referred to as "Coach K", due to the tremendous respect everyone has for him (and the fact that his last name is to hard to write/spell and confusing to pronounce, since pronouncing it correctly,"shuh-shef-skee" by the way, defys all logic). He was also trained at West Point to become a military officer. Oh, and did I mention he has over 800 career wins. Take that Roy Williams. ADVANTAGE: Duke
3. Players: UNC only has two, count 'em, two notable players. 2 out of 16. Congratulations that's an eighth of the team that actually knows, to some extent, how to "ball". Their best player, Tywon "Ty" Lawson is...alright. What kind of name is Tywon, it's more like Tylost if you ask me. He only averaged 10.3 points per game with 5.1 assists per game. Decent numbers. He is a little fat though, he's 5 ft. 11 in. tall and almost 200 pounds. I am little worried he might have a heart attack with all that extra weight. Ty, if you're reading, I'd like to see you drop down closer to 185. UNC's other decent player, Tyler Hansbrough, is...a tool. One of the least badass people I have ever seen, thinks he's a tough guy. Look at him. He looks like Aaron Carter. Is he crying, too? I'm pretty sure there's a tear in his eye. Awwww.
Pour Tyler. Are the reporters too mean to you? Are they asking you tough questions, that your feeble mind can't answer? Then there is Duke. They have Greg Paulus, who seems like he's pretty cool. They also have Martynas Pocius. That is one awesome name, and he's not even from America. He must be good. There are a bunch of other players that I could write about but don't have the time.

4. Record: UNC is 27-2, soon to be 27-3. Duke is 25-3. UNC has played more games, so of course they'll have more wins. I would also like to mention that one of UNC's losses came from Duke. The other from Maryland, who isn't even ranked in the top 25. ADVANTAGE: UNC, but of course standings don't really matter, so they can have it, Duke doesn't want it.
